When we encountered this gem, the owner couldn't recall the exact name of the green marble on the facade. He confessed it almost as an apology, unaware that he had just given us the house's best calling card: here, decisions were made based on how each material looked and felt, not on what the catalog said or what fit the budget. The facade combines that nameless green with travertine marble, and from the outside, it signals that there are no shortcuts inside. A double 14cm wall with a 10cm air gap for insulation does the unseen work: keeping the August heat and January cold outside before the air conditioning or radiant floor has to strain. Inside, the materials change from room to room without losing coherence. White Turkish marble and Porcelanosa porcelain tile on the floor; oak, glass, and braided stainless steel on the staircase; solid walnut doors that give way, where appropriate, to Rimadesio bronze glass. The plasterboard-lined ceiling conceals the lighting with the same discretion as the radiant floor, present throughout the house, floor by floor, without exception. The Binova kitchen in wengue and stainless steel isn't designed for photos; it's designed to withstand years of real use. Two Mitsubishi Electric units, one per floor, manage the climate silently. And then comes the chapter that few chalets in Cartagena can boast: a cinema, a disco, a spa, a gym, and its own pub with its own Mitsubishi Electric split system. These aren't last-minute additions; they are the reason this house doesn't need anyone to leave it to find what they're looking for. Outside, the Gresite pool with saline chlorination has a hidden electric cover flush with the water, so it disappears when not in use. Around it, travertine and teak wood—the same used to cover the porch ceiling—lead to the terrace and the side area in Terramar slate. Bi-fold doors open the living room directly to the pool, blurring the line between inside and out when the owner decides it's summer time. Persax enclosures with security glass, automated blinds, and Legrand mechanisms complete a list of qualities rarely found together in a single home. 593 m² built on a 995 m² plot, energy certificate D with C emissions. This is not a house that sells itself with a quick showing. It's a house that is explained material by material, because each one was a decision, not a coincidence.
